A Penny Saved
Several years ago, TruMark Financial was using the Sage Abra HR module and an outsourced payroll service. When the decision was made to bring payroll in house, there was little doubt which payroll solution to choose. The Sage Abra Payroll module integrates directly with the Abra HR module, providing a single source for all employee information. The decision has proved to be a wise one - each year, TruMark Financial saves thousands of dollars in outsourcing fees and hundreds of labor hours.

Payroll Savings
With branches in various localities throughout Southeastern Pennsylvania, TruMark Financial needed a payroll solution that could support multiple taxing authorities - Sage Abra Payroll is their solution.

Tax tables are updated quarterly, ensuring TruMark Financial is always working with accurate data. TruMark Financial has also added the Attendance and the Train modules, resulting in a comprehensive HRMS solution capable of supporting its growing operations.

Time is Money
Due to the efficiency of Sage Abra HRMS, TruMark Financial is able to manage its entire payroll and HR services with a staff of three. Thanks to the consistent interface between the modules, the three individuals can back each other up.

Aimee Shiver, TruMark Financial's HR compensation analyst, says the integrated system saves time and increases efficiency. "When the payroll department enters a new hire, that person automatically becomes part of the HR module and the Attendance module."

Attendance and Time Entry
With its 220 employees working from several branches, collecting and keying in employee time sheets every two weeks once was a time-consuming, problematic, and inefficient task.

"HRMG Solutions has always been helpful," says Shiver. "We rely on HRMG Solutions for guidance and consulting about the system - they're the technical experts we turn to."

HRMG Solutions recommended and implemented the Sage Abra Attendance module and a companion product from Galaxy Technologies called TimeStar to streamline TruMark Financial's time and attendance entry.

TimeStar is a Web-based time-clock system that allows employees to clock in, clock out, and record their leave time over the Internet. With TimeStar's ability to interface with Sage Abra, there is no additional data entry required. This system saves a full two days of labor every month - time Shiver once spent manually entering employee time sheets.

TimeStar sends time and attendance data directly into the Sage Abra Attendance module, recording hours worked and paid leave. Employees are able to check the balance of their paid time off at any time, saving Shiver and her staff dozens of phone calls each month. "Our call volume is now half of what it was," explains Shiver.

Supervisors can access TimeStar over the Internet to monitor employee activity, anytime and anywhere there is access to the web. They can review and approve employee timesheets, make corrections, receive alerts, and run reports. When supervisors receive an employee request of time off, they can quickly query to verify leave balances before approving use of leave time.

The Sage Abra Attendance module supports any number of leave time plans, and allows TruMark Financial to track absences such as jury duty, family leave, medical leave, compensatory time, and more. Sage Abra Attendance holds the organization's holiday schedule and saves manual data entry by automatically generating holiday pay entries for employees.

"We're still growing," says Shiver. "With Sage Abra, we know we can add more branches and more employees without needing to change our software."
