What is it? When will it hit? Why us?
As millions of PC’s have become slowly infected with cornficker, we wait to see the outcome of what many are calling a “digital Pearl Harbor”. Cornficker, a botnet worm first reported last November, sits idly and waits for instructions. What will it do, and when? No one knows, but rumors persist that tomorrow is the big day, and predictions as to what cornficker will do range from total internet meltdown to a major bank account heist. The fact of the matter is, no one knows what will happen or when it will happen.
But there are things you can do now to protect yourself. First, visit Microsoft and get the latest/greatest updates for your operating system. Then, make sure your antivirus is up to date. If you feel you’re infected, you can download Microsoft’s cornficker removal tool.
Here are some handy sites about cornficker:

When we have legal questions regarding Employment Law, we go to Jackie Shulman at Obermayer, Rebman, Maxwell and Hippel LLP. Our customers have always found her information to be right on target and useful to HR and Payroll folks. Let me know if this item on the Fair Pay Act is helpful to your organization.

Pennsylvania launches Recovery site.
In an effort to be more transparent states all across the union are creating individual recovery sites that show how the stimulus plan money is being utilized. There are still states that do not have sites available but Pennsylvania is on the web. You can view the states that currently have recovery sites online by visiting recovery.gov.
